About our presenters
Dr Sarah Welch
- MBChB, BMedSci, FRANZCOVitreo-retinal surgeon.Dr Sarah Welch has been working at Auckland Eye and Greenlane Clinical Centre as a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in medical and surgical retina. She is a Senior Lecturer for the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Auckland. Outside her working life, Sarah continues her interest in film, but these days it tends to be children’s cinema, with her young son Thomas.
Dr Sid Ogra
- MBChB, FRANZCOCornea/Anterior, Glaucoma and refractive surgeon.Dr Sid Ogra is an Oculoplastic and Cataract surgeon working at Auckland Eye, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Manukau SuperClinic. He has a strong belief that doctors and patients must work together as a team to achieve the best results. Sid is into all types of sports, and enjoys the outdoors with his family when possible.
Dr Sarah Hull
- MBBS, MA, FRCOphth, PhDPaediatric and Genetic surgeon.Dr Sarah Hull is currently one of three genetic eye specialists in New Zealand. Sarah completed her PhD in 2016. Her research in inherited retinal dystrophies is the foundation for her speciality in genetic eye diseases and has led to further publications and research opportunities. Outside of work, Sarahโs two young daughters keep her busy. She loves adventure and exploring new places.
