What Causes Wrinkles?

Wrinkles are caused over time by the constant contraction of the muscles in our faces. As you get older, your skin loses its elasticity, and repeated contractions turn into permanent lines as your skin is no longer able to ‘bounce back.’

How Does Dermal Therapy Work?

Dermal therapies work by making use of clinically-proven formulas and specialised procedures. The formulations focus on assimilating the ingredients that are found in naturally-healthy skin, such as urea, alpha hydroxy acid, and silk amino acids.

Treatment Procedures

Dry Eye – IPL treatments are used to treat dry eye caused by a range of skin conditions. This provides a long-term solution and can slow down the progression of chronic dry eye.

Rosacea – Not only does IPL treatment reduce the redness caused by rosacea, but it will also improve your overall skin texture and quality.

Photorejuvenation – One of the most popular IPL treatments is photorejuvenation, in which sunspots are targeted to produce a more even complexion.

Xeomin® *

Xeomin®  is a purified protein injection that is specifically designed to relax the upper facial muscles. Some of the lines Xeomin treats are:

Botox® **

Botox® is a specific brand of botulinum toxin, which is a very popular method of preventing fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles. Some of the lines Botox ® treats are:

• Crow’s feet
• Glabellar lines
• Forehead lines

* Xeomin® is a Prescription Medicine containing 50, 100 units of incobotulinum Type A, purified Botulinum toxin type A complex for injection. It is used for the treatment of frown lines on the forehead, lateral periorbital lines and horizontal forehead lines in adults. It should be administered only by trained medical professionals. Talk to your specialist about the benefits/risks of this procedure in appearance medicine. Xeomin treatment lasts about four months and further courses of treatment may be necessary. Cautions: people receiving blood thinning medicines, care at the proposed injection sites, pregnancy and lactation. Possible side effects: headache, pain, swelling or infection at injection site, local muscle weakness including drooping eye lids, lack of feeling & nausea. Treatment last for up to 4 months.
