Payment Options

Payment Policy

• All surgery costs are due upon arrival at reception on the day of surgery.  To avoid delays and ensure a smooth experience, please ask for any cost clarifications before the surgery date.

Payment Options

• We accept most credit cards (no surcharge), AMEX (no surcharge) and EFTPOS. Direct credit and internet banking payments must be made 4 working days prior to surgery date.

Daily Limits

• Please ensure you check your daily card limit with your bank before the day of your surgery to avoid any payment issues, delays or rescheduling of your surgery.

Direct Credit and Internet Banking

• You may prepay any costs for your surgery by depositing into our account:

Include your last name as the reference, and your patient number, (this should be in the subject line of your email, or request this from your surgical booker). Deposits must be made at least 4 business days before your surgery and cannot be done on the day of surgery.

• We will apply on your behalf to ACC.
• This surgery must be approved by ACC before going ahead.
• Speak to your surgical booker if you wish to pay to proceed with surgery without approval. We cannot guarantee that ACC will refund you the cost of surgery if you proceed.

• Contact your insurance company before your surgery to check coverage, get prior approval, and ask any questions.
• Provide proof of prior approval before the day of surgery.
• Be prepared to pay any insurance excess or shortfall payment at reception upon arrival.
• Our Patient Accounts team will email your accounts to you, and you will need to submit the invoices to your insurer yourself.

• If your surgery is part of the Affiliated Provider scheme, Surgical Bookings will handle the prior approval process with Southern Cross and inform you.
• You may need to pay an excess or shortfall, depending on your policy and lens choice.
• Surgical fees cover visits within six weeks post-surgery, but additional tests during this period may incur charges.
• Be prepared to pay any excess or shortfall payment at reception upon arrival.
• Our Patient Accounts team will send your accounts directly to Southern Cross.

• If your surgery is not part of the Southern Cross Affiliated Provider scheme, Surgical Bookings will inform you.
• You must get prior approval from Southern Cross before your surgery date. Not obtaining prior approval may lead to surgery rescheduling or delays, or require payment of the surgical estimate.
• Our Patient Accounts team will email your accounts to you, and you will need to submit the invoices to Southern Cross yourself.
• Contact Southern Cross before the day surgery if you have any questions about your insurance cover.
